Pictures Aren't Everything....

So I found this cake in a magazine and decided that it looked festive and fun to make. So I made it. It was the biggest pain in the butt! And in the end, it didn't even taste that great. I'm sure everybody said it was great only so I would feel better. Whatever... It was pretty though! Here is how you make it. There are a few steps that I forgot to take a picture of...

I found the picture. The stuff on the top is grated white chocolate. It looks so good right? uhuh... that's what I thought too.

Seperate everything.

MIX IT ALL TOGETHER!

Cook and stack it.

Make the sauce.

There was a WHOLE POUND of butter in that frosting. It was definately a buttercream frosting. That part was yummy.

Here is the finished frosting.

Put the innards in.

Cover the cake lightly with frosting and cool in the fridge for half an hour.... so the cake can get EVEN DRYER!!!

Cover cake completely with frosting so it looks gorgeous. THAT'S THE ILLUSION!!!

The pitty eating...

HAHAHA! ok so maybe it wasn't all that bad. We ate it with Icecream and extra sauce... so it wasn't really bad... just a little bit bad. I had a lot of fun making it though. That was a good thing.

THE ACTUAL DINNER!!!

Can you see the difference in these two pictures? I'm in one and not in the other! So clever. Dinner was delicious and the company was fantastic. We had me, my grandparents, my great-grandma weetzi, Kitty-Joe (she is my great aunt I think), Joey and Steve (my grandpa's brother and his wife), and our friends Travis and Linda. It was very fun.. even though I was the youngest. They are all great people.
