HAWAII...

Me and Grandpa... awww

The weather was absolutely perfect for sailing.

Nico trying to figure out what to do.

Our little tiny boat...

Me before we went sailing.

Me after spending an hour and a half down in the boat waiting
for Grandpa and Nico to finish putting everything
away. I was so sick. Grandma thought I looked hilarious!

The night show at the Polynesian Cultural center was AWESOME!
They even danced around with FIRE!!!

A Tongan man playing some sort of instrument with his nose! It was
actually really cool and kinda wierd at the same time.

This picture of me and grandma isn't that great... but look
inbetween us! That's my aunt Katie... well
being Katie. It was so funny!

We went up to North Shore on Oahu and saw some of the biggest
waves in the WORLD! (aside from Australia). It was amazing to
see 30-40ft. swells! There were, of course, a couple of crazy local out riding them...
crazy people.

The Temple. It was absolutely breathtaking to walk around on the grounds.
There is such a peaceful feeling when you go to the temple. I can't even describe
it. I did feel a little out of place in my swimsuit however...

This is a lookout point with a TON of cool history. If you look to the left of the picture, there is a rock looking thing. The picture doesn't show it, but there is a ledge right above it. I guess when the islands were being fought over, the last battle was fought on and near that ledge. Thousands of men, women, and children were thrown off and killed. It is a sheer drop to the bottom and I can only imagine how awful it would be to die like that.

This is looking down our beach from our little house.

My cute flip flops!

Sunset was gorgeous. Locals fish off of the rocks that are in the picture. I went out there once and got completely drenched from the waves that were coming in and I also saw big crabs. They are so ugly! It kind of creeped me out. They just kind of sit there and look at you. .. eww

Me and Grandpa boogie boarding... without any waves.
oh well, still fun.

Me and Grandpa with our boogie boards!

This is off the back porch of our little house. The water was SO CLOSE!
It was fantabulous.

A cool canopy.

This was our weather pretty much the whole time... kind of rainy and overcast.

So as many of you know, I was in Hawaii for two weeks. It was so much fun! And very relaxing. Here are a few of my memories. We stayed at an Air Force Base called Bellows. I love the little military perks that we get! We had our own little hut/house with 2 rooms, a bathroom, a living room, and kitchen. It was small and a little old, but I was just happy that there weren't any nasty bugs. My grandma Phipps, on the other hand, called it "the Dump." She was very funny about it. We even rearranged the entire living area and bought a flower plant for our little side table. We looked for a bathroom rug but couldn't find one cheap enough.
